Marie Ratledge Davis, 89
MILFORD - Marie Ratledge Davis passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the Country Rest Home of Greenwood. Marie was born in Harrington, DE to the late, Walter E. and Grace V. Ratledge.
Marie started her career at Farmers Bank in Delaware and finished her career at the State of Delaware.
Marie served as a Longaberger Consultant for over 30 years and was ranked one of the top sellers, multiple times throughout her career. She enjoyed meeting people through selling baskets. She was not only known locally for her high sales but also was known by Consultants throughout the U.S. She will be remembered as a strong, compassionate person, with a boisterous personality. She was always smiling and enjoyed a good laugh. She will be sadly missed.
Marie was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church of Milford. She was an active supporter of the Harrington High School Alumni Association.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Jehu "Jack" M. Davis, Jr.; siblings, Benjamin "Bennie" Ratledge, Richard "Shorty" Ratledge, Joseph Ratledge; and sister in law, Shirley Ratledge.
She is survived by her brother, Albert L. Ratledge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro for the family at a later date.
