Marie Gatto Crosson of Dover, Delaware, passed away on January 18th, 2025. She was born May 25th, 1958, in Amsterdam, New York. 1976 Graduate of Wilbur Lynch High School. She then attended Fulton Montgomery College, where she received her associate’s degree in accounting.
She had a huge heart and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Marie was a kind soul and was always doing for and helping others. Joined the Air Force in 1982, spent her 4 years as an air cargo specialist with an aerial port at Dover AFB. While serving, Marie obtained her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Wilmington College. After leaving the service she worked for companies including Beechnut baby foods, Aetna, Playtex and Dover Downs. Marie also loved doting over their dog, Oscar. Nobody would ever guess that one little dog would need 11 vests, 16 collars, and 23 leashes, except for Marie! Marie loved going on adventures with Stan and Oscar, they enjoyed trying different foods and seeing beautiful scenery. She was also a sun worshipper. Loved the heat and her pool.
Marie was preceded in death by her father, Francisco Gatto in 1989, and her mother Christine Della Posta Gatto in 2013.
Marie is survived by her loving and heartbroken husband of 23 years, Stanley Crosson. Also, her stepdaughter and son-in-law, Casie Fizer and James Fizer, and their two sons, Ian and Elijah, whom she completely adored. Her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Krystal and JR Frazier, their children, Gina Blong (Ronnie) and kids, Whitney Rose (Matt) and their children. Also, by an uncle and aunt and several cousins in New York, and a brother and nephews.
The world is less beautiful today.
