Marie Elizabeth Boyer

Marie Elizabeth (Coady) Boyer, 96

DOVER - Marie Elizabeth (Coady) Boyer, of Dover, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 96.

She was born Sept. 4, 1911, in Pottsville, Pa., to the late Alexander and Emma (Neidlinger) Coady.

She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Dover.

Mrs. Boyer worked for Libby's Canning Factory and later for Playtex.

She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and crocheting.

Mrs. Boyer was preceded in death by her former husband, Harry Boyer, in 1997; a granddaughter, Mary Ann Donophan, in 1984; a great-grandson, John P. Gies, in 1976; and a daughter, Betty Schokley.

She is survived by her son, William W. Boyer of Seaford; son, Keith D. Boyer of Ellendale; daughter, Arlene Donophan of Dover; daughter, Loretta M. Lavere of Harrington; daughter, Frances Benson of Bridgeville; daughter, Maureen Peters of Boothwyn, Pa.; brother, Cyril Coady of Reading, Pa.; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial services will be noon Monday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, Dover.

Burial will be at the Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.

Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday in the Trader Funeral Home, Dover.

The family request that memorial contributions be given to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover, DE 19901; or a favorite charity.
