Marie Charlotte Donohoe

Marie Charlotte Donohoe, 90

MILFORD - Marie Charlotte Donohoe, of Milford, passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009 at home. She was 90. Mrs. Donohoe was born on Sept. 19, 1918, in Milford, daughter of the late Louis and Cora (Evans) Ryder. She was employed for 13 years as a secretary at the Avenue United Methodist Church in Milford, retiring in 1975 to become a full time homemaker. Charlotte joined Avenue United Methodist Church in 1928 and over the years has been active in the church choir as a member and soloist and was a member of the Sarah Circle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard B. Donohoe in 1999. She is survived by two cousins, William Edward Evans of Milford and William Williams of Lewes. Services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Avenue, Milford. Burial was held in the Milford Community Cemetery on North Walnut St. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 N.
