Margaret Wright, 93

DOVER - Margaret Wright, of Dover, departed this life on Jan. 1, 2009. She was 93. She was born on Dec. 25, 1915, to Mary Jane Bland and Henry Green. She attended public schools in Vanceboro, N.C. Margaret worked for many years for the Dover Air Force Base and Green Giant Foods. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Lillian Green, Willie Creasy, Irene Lee; her brothers, James Green, and William Green; her husband, Lester Wright Sr.; her son, Lester Wright Jr.; and her granddaughters, Barbara Jean Wright, Betty Jean Harris and Charmaine Hicks. Margaret is survived by her four sons, Lee Wright, Norman (Pop) Wright, Clayton Wright and Roy Wright all of Dover; and six daughters, Mary Jane Jones, Viola Fisher, Louise Brinkley and Willie Scott, all of Dover, Rachel Windley of New Bern, N.C., and Julieanne Wright McQueen of N.Y.; and the granddaughters she raised, Lisa Ingram of Dover, Elaine Wynn of New Bern, N.C. and Evelyn Williams of New Bern, S.C.; 45 grandchildren, 117 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Calvary Baptist Church, Queen & Fulton Streets, Dover where friends may call two hours earlier. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please send a contribution to a charity of your choice. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
