Mrs. Michealsen was born June 28, 1926 in Götland (Island), Sweden to the late Henrik Florstrom and Axa Norrby Florstrom, and moved with them to the US when she was four. She lived on Long Island, N.Y. where she met her husband, Roy Michealsen and moved to Dover in 1993. She was a devoted wife and loving mother to her two children, Dale and Lance. She worked as a secretary for the Army, and for the CEO of YWCA in New York City, before going to work for Michealsen Brothers Contractors in Long Island, N.Y. Mrs. Michealsen was very musical. She played the piano and was a soloist on the radio and in numerous oratorios, her favorite being Handle's Messiah. She served in the music ministries of her churches. Most recently she was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Dover.
