Margaret M. Horst, 87 HARRINGTON - Margaret M. Horst, of Harrington, died July 20, 2010, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial. She was 87. She was born in Pottstown, Pa., to the late Lawrence and Marie Focht. Margaret was a housewife and mother of three. She also helped her husband in his business, Horst Auto Tag Service, for 24 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Margaret was a past president of the Northend Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary in Pennsylvania where she was a member for over 15 years. Margaret enjoyed making crafts including crocheting. She enjoyed bingo as well as going to the casinos. In her younger years, Margaret enjoyed travelling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Horst; parents, Lawrence and Marie Focht; and brothers, Robert Focht, and Jack Bauer. She is survived by a son, Robert L. Horst of Birdsboro, Pa.; daughters, Barbara Horst of Harrington, with whom Margaret lived, and Judith Maciak of St. Lawrence, Pa.; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be 7 p.m., Saturday, July 24, 2010, in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, where a visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date at Highland Memorial Park in Pottstown, Pa. Donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral costs.
