Margaret Louise Smith, 85 HOUSTON - Margaret Louise Smith, 85, of Houston, passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, at Bayhealth Hospital in Milford surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Smith was born Dec. 26, 1923, in Champlain, N.Y., the daughter of the late Frank Donze and Mabel La Valley Donze Lonski. Louise, as she was affectionately called, married Leon D. Smith, Sr. May 1942. Louise enjoyed being a homemaker and had a great love for cats. She attended Pilgrim Chapel in Harrington for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Benjamin Lonski, Sr.; her twin brother, Robert Donze; brother, Howard Donze; and sister, Mabel Donze Kemp. Mrs. Smith is survived by her loving husband of over 67 years, Leon D. Smith Sr.; brothers, F.J. Donze of Magnolia, Donald Lonski of Cherry Hill, N.J., Benny Lonski, Jr. of Magnolia and sister Leona Cain of Houston; two sons, Leon Jr. and Kenneth W. Smith both of Milford; two daughters, Mary Lou Timmons and her husband David of Milford, and Carolyn Overstreet of Greenwood; seven grandchildren, Leon David Smith and his wife Barney of Farmington, Robert Overstreet and his wife Kim of Rainelle, W.V., Billy Ray of Milford, Candace Dittman and her husband Eric of Frederica, Crystal Van Vorst and her husband, Daniel of Woodside, Dawn Wheway of Lincoln, and Michael Ray of Milford. She also had one great-great-grandson, Michael and a host of nieces and nephews. Viewing will begin at noon, Saturday, Dec. 5, followed by the service at 1 p.m. at Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 West Market St., in Greenwood. Interment will be held at St. Johnstown Cemetery in Greenwood. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Pilgrim Chapel, 4792 Milford/ Harrington Highway, Harrington, DE 19952.
