Margaret Louise Lewis (Maggie)
Margaret Louise Lewis (Maggie) was born January 1, 1956 in Chestertown, MD. She received her wings on August 30, 2022 at Bayhealth Medical Center with her family by her side.
Margaret was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved baking and working with children. She spent a great deal of time working at a daycare until she went to work at Food Lion in the bakery, where she was able to do her true love, baking and decorating cakes. She loved having family gatherings where she was known for her strawberry poke cake and her crabmeat deviled eggs. Family and friends were everything to her, always wanting to be the life of the party. She was determined to get her GED and diploma, in which she did accomplish. She enjoyed shopping and yard sales, never missing out on a true deal or sale. When it came to her "Eagles" no matter what, she was what you would call a true fan.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian A. Caulk; father, Haywood A. Jackson; and uncle, James Caulk.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of almost 40 years, William B. Lewis, Jr.; her daughters, Tanyelle Reeves (Shannon) of Portsmouth, VA, Ann-Marie McDonald (Charles) of Trenton, NJ; her sons, Harry Lee Reeves, Jr. of Chestertown, MD, Andre Reeves, Sr. (Michelle) of Dover, DE and Lamar Reeves (Lucy) of Felton, DE; two brothers, Charles Bridles of Chestertown, MD, James Bridles of Philadelphia, PA; and sister, Joyce Bridles of Chestertown, MD; her bonus children, William B. Lewis, III (Tina), Monica Lewis and Oren Lewis; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
We the family extend our greatest and sincerest appreciation for all the prayers, calls, messages and generosity we have received during this difficult time.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, September 9, 2022 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Still Pond, MD.
