Holleger, 82 MILFORD - Margaret I. Holleger, age 82, of Milford, passed away on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on Dec. 16, 1929, in Houston, the daughter of the late James and Margaret Messick Elliott. She was a lifelong resident of Milford. She was affectionately called Peggy. Mrs. Holleger enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, yard sales, listening to country music and baking. She always had something baked for when the family came to visit. She loved spending time with her family most of all. She worked at Marclay Mills for several years and then the Milford Manor Nursing Home from where she retired as a dietary aide. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard D. Holleger in 1976; a brother, Donald Elliott; and two sisters, Ann Calhoun and Arlene Parsons. Mrs. Holleger was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her six children, Teresa Spratt and her husband Edward of Milford, Dawn Wells of Milford, Wayne Holleger and his wife Charlotte of Rawson, Ohio, Gaye Sherwood and her husband Glenn of Rising Sun, Randy Holleger and his wife Sue of Milford and Dean Holleger and his wife Joan of Milford. She has 14 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother and two sisters, Richard Elliott and his wife Lois of Sterling, Va., Patricia Jump and her husband Ralph of Houston, and Martha Wilcutts of Milford; and several nephews and nieces. She will be sadly missed by all. Funeral Services will be noon, Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
