SMYRNA - Margaret Dempsey Lewis, of Smyrna, formerly of Berwyn, Pa., died on Oct. 30, 2009. She was the wife of the late Davis F. Lewis. Born on Aug. 17, 1922, at Chester County Hospital, she was the daughter to the late David & Linnie McNeil Dempsey. She was a member of Berwyn United Methodist Church, and Ladies Aux. of the Upper Main Line VFW Post 5203, Paoli, Pa. She is survived by a son, Davis W. Lewis wife Martha of Smyrna; daughter, Betty Ann Pizzi of Houston, Texas; ten grandchildren, Thomas A. Lewis of Dover, Davis M. Lewis of Smyrna, Benjamin C. Lewis of North East, Md., Shane Pizzi of Houston, Texas, David A. Rose of Smyrna, Donald R. Pizzi of Houston, Texas, Daniel F. Lewis of Elkton, Md., Sommer L. King of Houston, Texas, Devon E. Pizzi of Houston, Texas, Christopher M. Lewis of Elkton, Md.; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Jean DiDomenico of Brookhaven, Pa.; and brother, David Dempsey of Downingtown, Pa. Margaret loved her grandchildren, to crochet and the Phillies. Life Celebration services will be noon, Friday, Nov. 6, with a visitation from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Mauger Givnish Inc. Funeral Home, 24 Monument Avenue, Malvern, Pa. (610-644-2240, www.lifecelebration.com) Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made in Margaret's name to Berwyn United Methodist Church, 140 Waterloo Avenue, Berwyn, PA 19312.
