Margaret Testa Branton
DOVER - Margaret Testa Branton, of Dover, died Feb. 18, 2009. She was 92. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John and Philomena Testa, the youngest of ten children. She married Edward Branton, her husband of 60 years, in April 1935 and remained a talented and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother throughout her life. Mrs. Branton enjoyed reading, traveling and movies.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband; nine siblings; and her son-in-law, Arthur Clements. She is survived by two daughters, Susan Clements of Portland, Maine, and Phyllis Lytle and her husband Dr. Gary Lytle of Dover; as well as six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Raymond Church, Vernon Road and Williams Ave., Philadelphia, where friends may call starting at 10 am. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Easton Road and Cheltenham Ave., Philadelphia. Margaret's family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Heritage Assisted Living and Silver Lake Center for their compassionate care.
