Margaret 'Peggy' Blades, 76 DENTON - Margaret 'Peggy' Blades, died Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at Envoy Health of Denton, Md. She was 76 years old. Born at home near Preston, Mrs. Blades was the daughter of the late Edward Clayton Quillen and Alverta Rebecca Rogers Quillen. She had lived in Caroline County all of her life. Her husband, Leonard T. (L.T.) Blades, died Nov. 24, 2008. Mrs. Blades graduated from Caroline High School in Denton in 1951. She had been a secretary at North Caroline High school, retiring on March 15, 1995. She was a member of the Retired Personnel of Caroline County and was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Denton. Mrs. Blades is survived by two sons, L. Dale Blades of Denton and Ronald E. Blades of Denton; two sisters, Dorothy Schuyler of Denton and Edwina Sloane of Harrington, Del. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, John (Jack) O. Quillen. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second St. in Denton where friends may call one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests for friends to send memorial donations to St. Luke's United Methodist Church, PO Box 66, Denton, MD 21629 or to Ruxton Health of Denton, 420 Colonial Drive, Denton, MD 21629.
