Margaret Anne Behen Collison

Margaret Anne Behen Collison was born in Dover on Aug. 4 1942 to her parents, James J. Behen Jr. and Mabel Driver Behen. She attended Dover High School graduating in 1960. While attending high school she was a member of the field hockey and cheerleading teams. She was selected to represent Dover high school as a cheerleader in the state football championship, blue gold game. She attended Marjorie Webster College and married Robert H Collison in 1961. She worked in several community banks including head teller at Clayton Bank.
She enjoyed family events, cards with her friends, and traveling with her grandchildren. After moving to Florida she enjoyed The Village Mustang Club, Chatham Social Club, bingo, pokeno, water aerobics classes and most importantly exercise classes and social events with her many Parkinson's friends. She was a volunteer at Bayhealth Hospital and The Village Regional Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Collison, of The Villages, Fla.; daughters, Denise L. Ryan of Smyrna, and Donna L Marshall (John) of Middletown; grandchildren, Craig R. Ryan (Tricia) of Smyrna, Eric M. Ryan (Jessie) of Clayton, Katrina A. Mercer (Matthew) of Salisbury, Md., Kristina L. Marshall of Salisbury, Md.; great-grandchildren, Jaylen Mae Ryan, Margaret Jo Mercer and Elizabeth Kate Mercer.
Pre-deceased by her parents and her brother, James J. Behen III of Williamsburg, Va.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 p.m., Friday, Sept. 22, 2017 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
She cherished her many friends and her pets.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901 or The Ted and Diane Brandley Hospice House, 17395 SE 109th Terrace, Summerfield, FL 34491.
