Margaret Ann Parker West

MILLSBORO - Margaret Ann Parker West, 74, of Millsboro, passed away at home on Saturday, April 9, 2011. Born in Georgetown, she was the daughter of the late Paul H. and Hazel Mae Rogers. She was well known throughout Sussex by her having worked as a bartender at the Starting Gate for many years. She attended Blackwater Fellowship Church. She was very devoted to her family, and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, Bonnie Kay Greene and husband William of Merritt Island, Fla., Cheryl West and husband Charles of Gumboro, Linda Faye Disharoon and husband Sam of Salisbury, Md., and Arthur Bert Collins and wife Sherry Ann of Laurel. She is also survived by a sister, Pauline E. Brewington of Millsboro; and a brother, Howard Frank Parker Sr. and his wife Barbara Ann of Greenwood. Margaret also is survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Melvin Merrill Collins in 1997; and her sister, Evelyn Marie Padfield. A Funeral Service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2011, at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Millsboro Cemetery. Pastor Rob Welch will officiate the service. Electronic Condolences to www.watsonfh.com.
