Margaret Ann 'Maggie' Huffer MILLINGTON, Md. - Margaret Ann "Maggie" Huffer, 78 of Millington, died March 12, 2010, in Chester River Manor, Chestertown, Md. Mrs. Huffer was born on Nov. 17, 1931, in Sudlersville, Md., daughter of the late William and Bertha Pauline Durham Skinner. She was a lifetime resident of the area moving to her home on River Road in 1972. For 34 years she was a clerk for A & P Store and after her retirement she owned and operated Maggies Day Care for 13 years. Mrs. Huffer loved cooking and baking cakes, gardening, playing the organ, traveling, camping and especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Donald E. Huffer Sr. in 2009; a daughter, Donna Marie Huffer; and a sister, Eleanor Hollett. Mrs. Huffer is survived by four children; Michael E. Huffer Sr. and his wife Margie of Connellsville, Pa., Susan L. Kratfel and her husband Roland of Chestertown, William A. Huffer and his wife Dolly of Kennedyville and Donald Huffer Jr. of Millington; a brother, James Skinner of Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren, Michael Huffer Jr., Stephanie L. Spencer, Jason A. Bozarth, John Huffer, Christopher Huffer, Nicholas Huffer, Bradley Huffer, Joshua Huffer, Jacob Huffer, Caitlyn Huffer, Kristin Kratfel, and Dylan Huffer; and ten great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 15, in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, Md. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 16, in Kennedyville United Methodist Church, Kennedyville, Md. Burial will be held privately.
