Margaret A. Pierce, 62 DOVER - Margaret A. Pierce, of Dover, entered eternal life on Monday, July 21, 2008, at her home. She was 62. She was born in Wilmington, to the late Sara George. Margaret graduated from Delaware Technical College. She was employed as a sewing machine operator retiring after many years of dedicated service with the Harris Manufacturing Co. in Smyrna. In her leisure time she enjoyed reading, sewing, music and football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Her most enjoyable time was time spent with her family. Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfred R. Pierce in 1998. She is survived by her sons, David Zimmerman, Alfred Zimmerman, both of New Castle, John Zimmerman of Felton and Donald Zimmerman of Wilmington; daughters, Roxanne Horseman and Barbara Pierce, both of Dover; brother, Allen Cahall; sisters, Debra Callahan and Eleanor Cahall; and 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend Margaret's funeral service at noon Friday in the Beeson Funeral Home of Newark, 2053 Pulaski Hwy., where friends may visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Margaret will be laid to rest with her husband Alfred at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, immediately following the service.
