Man stabbed in Dover early Tuesday

DOVER — A 34-year-old man was stabbed in his left hand by an unknown Black male early Tuesday, Delaware State Police said.

Police said that at approximately 1:31 a.m., troopers responded to the 200 block of North Governors Boulevard in Capitol Park regarding an argument that was heard during a 911 call. They arrived and found the injured man, police said.

Authorties said that the suspect had fled the scene and troopers were unable to locate him in the surrounding area, police said. There is no further suspect description, and there are no surveillance images or videos available.

The victim was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment, police said.

The Troop 3 Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating this incident. Detectives are asking for anyone with information regarding this case to contact Det. F. Ofner by calling 302-698-8555. Information may also be provided by sending a private Facebook message to the Delaware State Police or contacting Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
