DOVER — A 38-year-old man was injured when he was shot early Sunday morning in the parking lot of Allure Night Club in Dover.
Dover Police were notified by staff at a nearby hospital that a gunshot victim had arrived by private vehicle to the emergency room, said M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman of the Dover Police Department said.
Officers learned that as the victim was leaving Allure Night Club at around 1:57 a.m., he observed a group of people arguing, and heard gunfire. At that time, the victim was struck in the upper torso and was then transported to the hospital by a friend. The victim’s injuries were considered non-life threatening, police said.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at 736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online at delawarecrimestoppers.com; a cash reward of up to $1,000 is possible for information leading to an arrest.
