(Uraska) Rainville ASBURY, W.Va. - Lydia M. Rainville of Asbury, formerly of Marydel, Del., died Monday, March 12, 2012. Lydia was born on July 5, 1919, in Naugatuck, Conn., daughter of the late Michael Uraska and Eva (Tunikat) Uraska. Lydia attended Bee Bee Elementary School, Salem Jr. High School and Naugatuck High School. She was employed by the Risdon Mfg. Co. When World War II began her job within the company was changed to inspection of ammunition magazines for our troops. In 1945 she married Howard F. Rainville. They moved to Henderson, Md. They both worked for Playtex and later retired to Marydel, Del. They were married 56 years when Howard preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Uraska; a sister, Lillian Abate; and grandson, Tyler Rainville. She is survived by a sister, Emma Radwick of Connecticut; her children, Patricia Collison and husband Andrew of Asbury, W.Va., with whom she lived, Roger R. Rainville of LaJolla, Calif., and Marilyn Walsh and husband Tom of Montgomery, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Sean Walsh, Mike Collison and wife Shelly, and Amy Reed and husband Larry; four great-grandchildren, Brad, Justin and Eric Collison and Brian Salgado, and an expected great-grandchild in September whom she was so excited about. Her faith in God and love of her family were the most important things in her life. A memorial service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, March 24, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where a gathering will be one hour before services. Howard and Lydia will be laid to rest in the Rainville family plot at the Denton, Md., cemetery.
