Louise May (Weaver) Stockslager, 92 MILFORD - Louise May (Weaver) Stockslager, 92, died Nov. 24, 2009, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, surrounded by her family. Louise was born May 24, 1917, in West Hazleton, Pa., the daughter of the late Christian and Eva Koenig Weaver. Louise's family moved to Chambersburg, Pa., when she was a teenager and where she later met and married Kenneth Stockslager on Aug. 14, 1937. After starting their family they moved to Wyoming, in 1949. Upon their retirement her parents moved to Wyoming to live with Louise and her family. Louise clerked at Jester's Pharmacy in Camden before taking on the full-time duties of secretary/ bookkeeper for the family-owned home improvement business, Ken Stockslager & Son, Inc., retiring in 2001. Louise was a long-time member of the Ladies of the Elks of Dover Lodge No. 1903, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, serving as President 1964–65. She was also a member of Wyoming United Methodist Church and had looked forward to the dedication of the new church organ on Nov. 15, which she was able to attend. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband on May 3, 2006, and also a brother, Harry Weaver, and his wife Mildred. She is survived by a son, C. Richard Stockslager and his wife Joyce of Wyoming; twin daughters, Diane and her husband William Bartholomew of Hanover, Pa., and Dawn and her husband T. Joe O'Connell of Wyoming; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson, several nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law, Esther Cook and Ann Stockslager, both of Pennsylvania. Services will be held at Wyoming United Methodist Church, 216 Wyoming Mill Road, Wyoming, on Friday, Nov. 27, at 7 p.m. with visitation an hour prior to services. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church Cemetery, Scotland, Pa., on Saturday, Nov. 28, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Wyoming United Methodist Church Special Gifts Fund, P.O. Box 389, Wyoming, DE 19934-0389. Arrangements by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
