CAMDEN - Louise Ellen Hickman passed away peacefully at the Milford Center on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017.
Mrs. Hickman loved her crossword puzzles and more than that she loved being a homemaker and was a loving mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rena Jane Dawson; her husband, Earl Smith Hickman Sr., in 2014; a daughter, Anita Mae Hickman in 1986; seven brothers; four sisters; one half-brother; and two half-sisters.
She is survived by her children, Mary and Chris Mansfield of Greenwood, Earl and Sharon Hickman of Frederica, Robin Decleene of Dover, Patty Clendaniel of Titusville, Fla., Gary Hickman and Tammy Reed of Lincoln, Janet Hickman and Doug Channels of Millington, Md. and David and Bridget Hickman of Magnolia; siblings, Jody Jefferson, and Howard Dawson, both of Houston; 16 grandkids; and nine great-grandkids.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017, at 2 p.m. in Hopkins Cemetery, 5824 Hopkins Cemetery Rd., Felton, DE 19943.
Arrangements in the care of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Felton.
