DOVER - Louis Joseph Owens of Dover passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Kent General Hospital. He was 48. Louis was born July 20, 1966 in LaPlata, Maryland to Geraldine "Geri" Clark and the late Joseph Louis Owens. He had worked as a sheet rock hanger as an independent contractor for 15 years, but most recently worked for Winner Ford as a Lube Tech. Louis enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by niece, Taylor Owens. He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Clark and her husband Larry of Dover; wife of 19 years, Karen Owens of Dover; daughters, Beth Simpson of Camden and Danielle Simpson; siblings, Donald Owens of Houston, Larry Owens of Milford, Joyce Walton and her husband Wayne of Ellendale and Richard Owens of Milford; grandchild, Landen Owens. Memorial services will be 7 p.m., Monday, July 27, 2015 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior.
