Louella Bensinger Hawley

Louella Bensinger Hawley, 89 DOVER - Louella Bensinger Hawley, of Dover, passed away Monday, August 18, 2008 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 89. She was born on Aug. 22, 1918, in Santa Monica, Calif., daughter of the late Joseph and Sadie (Stoocky) Bensinger. Mrs. Hawley had worked as a bookkeeper and enjoyed her later years as a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed water color painting, knitting and reading. Mrs. Hawley was a member of the Eastern Star. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Henry S. Allgor. She is survived by two sons, David H. Allgor and his wife Sharon of Dover and Stanley J. Allgor and his fiancé Eileen Ormond of Hull, Mass.; five grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, where friends may gather from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at a later date in Golden Gate Memorial Cemetery, Calif. Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901.
