Prettyman, 55 NEW CASTLE - Lorrie Ann Prettyman, 55, of New Castle, (formerly of Seaford) passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2015 at Seasons Hospice at Christiana Hospital. She was born July 19, 1960 in Seaford, to Ken and Ruth (Paskey) Prettyman of Seaford. Lorrie didn't let her disability of Prader-Willi Syndrome affect her life and spirit. She was a joy to everyone she met. Lorrie enjoyed word searches, reading, participating in Special Olympics, working at Citibank, and visits from her dear family and friends. Lorrie was the recipient of dedicated care from Chimes Delaware for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Walter and Mary (Thomas) Paskey; and paternal grandparents, Edwin and Helen (Clifton) Prettyman. In addition to her parents, Lorrie is survived by her sisters, Cheryl Smith (Carl) and Amy Evans (Chris); brother, Tom Prettyman (Ursula); nieces, Megan (Jess) Polak, Madison Evans, Audrey Prettyman, and Claire Ann Polak; and nephews, Matthew Smith, Maxwell Evans, Nicolas Prettyman, and Cole Polak. A funeral service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 W. Market Street, Greenwood, Delaware 19950. Friends and family may call on Monday, August 10, 2015 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Lorrie may be made to the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association (USA) 8588 Potter Park Drive Suite 500 Sarasota, FL 34238.
