Lorraine Estelle Lynch, 85 DOVER - Lorraine Estelle Lynch, of Dover, age 85, died on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at her home. She was born on Sept. 17, 1924, in Boston, Mass., to the late William and Mary Harlan Kemp. She was a homemaker and a substitute teacher for many years in the Dover and Ceaser Rodney School Districts. She was a Navy Pharmacist's Mate Third Class during World War II. She loved to travel, read, spend time with family and friends. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, and the American Legion. She moved to Dover from Leroy, N.Y., in 1964. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Mark Lynch in 1991. Also she was preceded by a son, Robert Lynch; a sister, Virginia DeLaurier; and a grandson, Michael Lynch. She is survived by her sons, David A. Lynch and his wife Leslie of Newark, and Steven M. Lynch of Potomac, Md.; daughters, Christine L. Dillon and her husband David Williams of Richmond, Va., Ginny Lynch Allaband and her husband Lester of Harrington; a daughter-in-law, Diane Lynch Hill; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will held on Friday evening at 6 p.m. in the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street, Dover. A private burial will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, at a late date.
