DOVER - After courageously battling a lengthy illness, Lori R. Davis-Rigby, of Dover, passed away on March 10, 2016. She was 51 years old. Lori was born on Sept. 11, 1964, in Wilmington, Delaware. She was preceded in death by her father, William S. Townsend. Lori attended Caesar Rodney High School, Class of 1982. After graduating she went on to study Business at Wesley College. She dedicated over 20 years of service to the State of Delaware General Assembly, at Legislative Hall, where she was a trusted and valued employee. Lori had a great love for life, an amazing sense of humor, and a bright smile for everyone she met. She had a large circle of friends, and enjoyed riding motorcycles, surfing, spending time at the beach, and vacationing at her favorite place, Cape Hatteras. Above all she was proud of her family, and cherished spending time with them. Lori is survived by her loving children, Adrian, Alan, and Leah; grandson, Gaige; mother, Melba Townsend; and brothers, Scott and Alan Townsend. A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, Delaware 19934, at 3:00 p.m., where friends may gather two hours prior.
