DAGSBORO - Loretta M. Steele, a life long resident of Dagsboro, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 11, 2009, while at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md., after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was 85. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Flossie Brumbley; her brother, Athlene Brumbley; sister, Evelyn Steen; and her husband, James E. Steele in 1987. Loretta is survived by four children, Bertha Mae Cordrey and her husband Gary, Mark L. Steele and his wife Linda, James Ray Steele and Michael Steele, all of Dagsboro; five grandchildren, Keith Cordrey and his wife Rebecca, Kevin Cordrey and his wife Jennifer, Justin Steele, Stephanie Steele, and Brittany Steele; and five great-grandchildren, Zachery Cordrey, Kaleigh Cordrey, Rylie Cordrey, Abigail Lathbury and Benjamin Cordrey. A funeral service was 1 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2009 at the chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford. Burial was in Dagsboro Redmens Memorial Cemetery.
