Lola C. Staats Graver

DOVER - Lola C. Staats Graver went to be with the Lord, Monday, Oct. 9, 2017 at home.
Mrs. Graver was born Jan. 22, 1939 in Wilmington to the late Walter F. Kelley, Sr. and Edith Lola Post Kelley.
She was a ward clerk at Kent General Hospital as well as a Pastor and Street Minister. Mrs. Graver was a Bible Study Teacher both at church and her home and taught new converts class at the Solid Rock Church. Prior to her pastoral work she had been a telephone operator for Diamond State. She enjoyed nail art, painting and all art. Mrs. Graver was a mother to all and loved her little dog Muffie.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Staats; brothers, Walter Kelley, Jr. and John Kelley; sisters, Mae Lambertson, Delores Emma Moyer and Mary Jane Cox.
She is survived by her husband, James Graver of Dover; sister, Edythe Lynn Mohlencamp; nephew, David Lambertson; and niece, Carol Krum; in her marriage to Jim she acquired, nine stepchildren, twenty-six grandchildren, over 40 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a host of friends including, Sharon and Kenny Weldon, who were like children to her; her caretaker, Kim Odwin; and longtime best friends, Pat Taylor, Janet Trapp, June Zebley, and Mary Ellen Landry.
Funeral services will be held, 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 16, 2017 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sharon Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to The Gideons International Processing Center, P.O. Box 97251, Washington, DC 20090-7251.
