Lois Muriel Kellett

SMYRNA - Lois Muriel Kellett, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at KGH Bay Health, Dover, after a long but incredibly brave and stubborn battle with Alzheimer's in the company of loved ones. She was born on September 17, 1939, in Ontario, Canada, to the late Arthur and Ruth Kellett. Lois emigrated to Delaware with her family in the late 1940's. She graduated from Dover High School in 1957, married, raised her three children, and went on to a 30 year career as an executive assistant with the Delaware Division of Environmental Health. Lois will certainly be remembered by her many friends and co-workers as well as anyone who knew her for even a moment. Special thanks are given to the medical and nursing staff of Kent General Hospital. She is survived by her Daughter and dedicated caregiver, Catherine Clendaniel of Smyrna; her loving son's, Michael Clendaniel of Rockwood, Tenn., and Jeffrey Clendaniel of Dover; also among the many beloved people left behind by Lois are her dear sister, Patty and brother in law Hugh Skeen of Coldwater Miss; and their daughters, Marilyn and Tracy and their spouses; and their many lovely children, news of whom always gave Lois great joy. Lois will certainly be remembered by her many friends and co-workers as well as anyone who knew her for even a moment. Graveside and Burial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at the Odd Fellows Cemetery Camden, DE. The family request that memorial contributions be given to any Alzheimer's or Breast Cancer Charity. Letters of condolences may be sent to www.delmarvaobits.com or traderfh@aol.com.
