GREENWOOD - Lois Landis Miller, of Greenwood, died peacefully at home on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, after a long battle with leukemia. She was born on Dec. 7, 1928, in Lititz, Pa., to the late Ira D. and Mabel Landis. Lois was a nurse and spent 15 year in Ethiopia as a medical missionary. She worked as a nurse in Arkansas and West Virginia. She enjoyed traveling, reading, playing dominoes and putting puzzles together. She also enjoyed mowing with a riding mower. Lois was a member of Sarasota Mennonite Church in Florida where they spent winters. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Faith Landis; and a niece, Joyce Herr. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Ralph Miller; a brother. J. Dale Landis; and a sister, Rachel Stahl, of both of Lititz, Pa. She is also survived by five stepchildren, John and Barb Miller of Kalona, Iowa, Robert and Loretta Miller and Shirley Miller of Greenwood, Stanley and Carolyn Miller of Wooster, Ohio, and Duane and Elizabeth Miller of Littlefork, Minn.; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at the Greenwood Mennonite Church. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be held at St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood. Arrangements by Fleischauer Funeral Home, Greenwood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Christian Aid Ministries, P.O. Box 360, Berlin OH 44610.
