Lois Ethel Carpenter, 78

MILFORD - Lois Ethel Carpenter, of Milford, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, in Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was 78. Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Josiah W. and Maude Katherine Dickerson. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafts, crocheting, and making things with her hands. Mrs. Carpenter will be sadly missed by her close friends and family. She leaves a legacy of hard work, spirituality, and a love of God that will be remembered forever. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John "Jack" Carpenter. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family. Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. Arrangements are by the Melvin Funeral Home, Harrington.
