Lois Arbaugh

TOWNSEND - Lois "Linda" Arbaugh, 68, of Townsend, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at Kent General Hospital/Bayhealth in Dover. Born on Sept. 25, 1942, in Wilmington, she was the daughter of the late Cora Belle (Garrett) and Edward Louis Powell Sr. She was a graduate of Middletown High School, class of 1960 and worked for several years at Leeds Travelwear. Later she worked at Memorial Hospital in Wilmington as a medical transcriptionist. Linda enjoyed being a homemaker and working in her flower garden. She loved animals, especially her favorite canine, Nipper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gene Arbaugh and a brother, Leon Powell. Linda is survived by her companion of 26 years, Wayne C. Morris; a sister, Barbara Armstrong of Clayton; two brothers, Edward L. Powell Jr. of Townsend and William "Randy" Powell of Milford; an aunt, Ruth Kinsey of New Castle; as well as several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16 at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad St. in Middletown, where friends may visit with her family from 10-11 a.m. Linda will be laid to rest beside her loving son, Gene, in Townsend Cemetery.
