Five Wesley College players scored in double figures as the Wolverines registered a 77-62 victory over Marymount in an Atlantic East Conference men’s basketball on Saturday.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Wolverines (2-3 AEC, 8-10 overall), who were playing their first home game since Dec. 19 and just their second since Dec. 1.

Wesley opened up a 41-25 lead by halftime against the Saints (1-4 AEC, 8-10 overall). Marymount never got closer than within seven points in the second half.

Brian Cameron (18 points), Evan Anderson (14), Brandon Lewis (14), Derick Charles (13) and Tyrone Craven (12) all reached double figures for the Wolverines. Wesley shot 53.1 percent (26-for-49) for the game.

Bethune-Cookman 69, Delaware State 49: The Wildcats out-scored the Hornets, 39-25, in the second half to sew up the MEAC win on Saturday.

The Hornets (0-5 MEAC, 3-15 overall) shot just 25.7 percent (19-of-74) from the floor in losing their seventh game in a row. Kevin Larkin netted a team-high 16 points with Jonathan Mitchell adding 10.

Mitchell sank 3-of-4 three-pointers for DelState, which led by as many as four points early in the contest.

WOMEN, Bethune-Cookman 67, Delaware State 55: The Wildcats out-scored the Hornets, 19-9, in the first quarter before posting the MEAC victory.

NaJai Pollard (18 points, 13 rebounds) and Lanayjhe Ashe (11) both scored in double figures for DelState (1-4 MEAC, 3-13 overall). The Hornets shot only 31.1 percent (19-of-61) from the floor including 6-of-24 shooting from three-point range.

DelState never led in the contest, trailing by as many as 17 points in the second half.

Marymount 86, Wesley 34: The Wolverines (4-13) were held to a season-low point total in the loss.

Boys’ basketball

Penn Wood, Pa. 69, St. Thomas More 53: Penn Wood built a 36-21 halftime lead en route to the win over the Ravens.

Omari Burris netted 18 points to pace St. Thomas More with DeAndre Gourdine adding 13.

Girls’ basketball

St. Thomas More 52, Penn Wood, Pa. 25: Jessica Simmons tallied 20 points with Glennyce James adding 17 to lead the Ravens.

James hit five three-pointers for St. Thomas More, which led 23-3 after the first quarter. Aniah Patterson added 11 points.
