WILMINGTON - Lloyd Wallace Hearn, 32nd degree mason, of Wilmington, formerly of Georgetown, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2010, at home. He was 80. Mr. Hearn was the son of the late Wallace F. and Sally (Givens) Hearn. He worked for the Mid-Atlantic Fleet Management for AT&T for 45 years retiring in 1990. Mr. Hearn was a Retired Colonel for the Delaware National Guard. He was a member of the Franklin Lodge #12 A.F. & A.M. in Georgetown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Jones Hearn; two brothers, Melvin and Jack Hearn; and a sister, Janet King. He is survived by his son, Kerry Wallace Hearn, MM, of Wilmington; one sister, Jean Amling of Auburn, Ala.; two brothers, W. Paul Hearn and his wife Leah, of Georgetown and James N. Hearn and his wife Brenda, of Quanico, Md.; and sister-in-law, Loy Hood and her family. A visitation will be held Friday, August 20 from noon to 1 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown. Masonic Services will be held at 1 p.m., with funeral services to follow. Burial will be private.
