Linda Lee Stokes

ROCK HALL, Md. - Linda Lee Stokes, 60, of Rock Hall, died July 10, 2011, in the Hospice Home of Queen Anne's, Centreville, Md. Mrs. Stokes was born on June 27, 1951, in Chestertown, Md., daughter of Bettie Taylor Davis of Dover, Del., and the late James Kendall Davis. She was a lifetime resident of KentCounty and after graduating in 1969 from Chestertown High School, she moved to Rock Hall. Linda was a certified cosmetologist. She had worked for the Pasta Plus restaurant in Rock Hall since its opening 25 years ago, only retiring last year due to her illness. Linda was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Millington VFW Post 652 and American Legion Post 228 in Rock Hall. Along with her mother she is survived by her husband of 20 years Kevin 'Slim' Stokes; her son, Jamie Reed and his wife Colleen and their daughter Allison, all of Finksburg, Md.; her sister, Donna M. Kirwan of Perry Hall, Md. and her four sons, Eddie, Jr., David, Stephen and Eric Nitsch. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 15, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, Md.
