Linda D. (Diemicke) Blow, 82

    Linda D. (Diemicke) Blow of Smyrna, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 9, 2025.
    She was born July 28, 1942 in Freeport, Long Island, New York to the late John and Mary (Lange) Diemicke. She married Donald K. Blow, Sr. on February 19, 1966.
    Linda is survived by her beloved husband Donald and son Donald K. Blow, Jr. and his wife Michele of Marydel, DE; her four grandchildren – Merrick, Mallory, Maxon, and Maclaren; her three sisters, Jacqueline D. Stokes, Patricia D. Modispaugh and her husband Burt, and Mary Jane Diemicke; her sister-in-law, Mary King; her nieces and nephews; and the rest of her family and friends.
    Linda graduated from John Bassett Moore High School in Smyrna in 1960 and continued her education earning a BS in Education from the University of Delaware in 1964 and an MA in Psychology from Washington College in Chestertown, MD, in 1984. She treasured her many lifelong friends made at Clayton Elementary School and throughout her later years of schooling and teaching.
    Linda taught fourth grade for more than thirty years, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed reading, tennis, skiing, traveling, vacationing at her home in the Poconos, and spending time with her family.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Wednesday, April 16 at St. Polycarp Church, 55 Ransom Lane, Smyrna, DE. A visitation was held 7-9 PM Tuesday at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna. Memorial donations may be sent to St. Polycarp Catholic Church.
