FELTON - Linda Carol Gay passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 at Kent General Hospital. Mrs. Gay was born October 16, 1946 in Baltimore, Md., to the late Marshall Founds and Jane Wildberger Founds. After she graduated from high school, she and her family moved to Dover, where she worked for the City of Dover in the Accounting Department, then the State of Delaware in accounting before going to work for Playtex in the accounting and bookkeeping Departments. She enjoyed needlework, cross stitching, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, playing bingo, and going to the slots. Mrs. Gay also enjoyed watching NASCAR, and was a fan of both Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Sr., as well as a Baltimore Colts Fan (while they were still in Baltimore.) She and her husband Bob, along with another couple, started Central Delaware Soccer Association. But her biggest enjoyment by far came from having dinners with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert Warren Gay, of Felton; son, Andrew Gay and his wife Jennifer Arculus, of Newark; daughter, Amy Henry and her husband Michael, of Dover; brother, George Founds and his wife Candice, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; sister, Jane Lefferts and her husband Peter, of Minneapolis, Minn.; grandchildren, Paige and Jason Henry. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Crumpton Cemetery, Md. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, #205, New Castle, DE. 19720, with gratitude for a successful battle with lymphoma several years ago. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
