DOVER - Lillian M. Shank, 83, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 1, at Capital Healthcare in Dover surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Nov. 6, 1927, in Ridgeley, W.Va., daughter of the late Okey and Daisey (Wagner) Kenney. Lillian enjoyed life as a homemaker. Her hobbies included gardening, going to the beach, bowling, flowers, and loved the outdoors. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose and enjoyed swimming at the YMCA. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Shank. She is survived by four children, Jerri and her husband Saul Wendroff of Hillsboro, N.J., Carolyn Schell and her husband David of Colorado Springs, Colo., Albert Shank and his wife Terry of Felton, and Steven Shank and his wife Susan of Felton; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a brother, David Kenney of Aberdeen, Md. A celebration of her life will be Saturday, Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour earlier. Burial will be held privately at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to American Diabetes Association, 100 West 10th St., Suite 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801.
