Lillian 'Sue' Laura Vander Plasse, 62

LEWES - Lillian 'Sue' Laura Vander Plasse, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on May 1, 2009 at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, De. She was 62. Lillian retired after 34 years of nursing in 2000, which she thrived in caring for her patients. After retirement, she enjoyed her craftwork, traveling, and most of all spending time with her family. She will be remembered for being the loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother that she was. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Gladys Barcus and her brother, Kenneth Barcus. Lillian is survived by her husband of 42 years, Gerard E. Vander Plasse; three daughters, Robin Martin, Debbie Connors, and Laura Metcalf; four grandchildren, Richard, Melissa and Christina Martin, and Christopher Connors Jr., all of Lewes; and two aunts, Lillian Jones and Evelyn Glanding. Viewing for friends and family will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6th at DANIELS & HUTCHISON FUNERAL LLC, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown, DE and on Thursday, May 7th from 10-11 a.m., where funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Townsend Cemetery.
