Lettie Valdesere

Lettie Valdesere, 78 FELTON - Lettie Valdesere, of Felton, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at home. She was 78. Lettie was born in Harrington, the daughter of the late, Irvin and Eleanor (Faulkner) Williamson. She was a seamstress for the Ace Dress Company in Harrington for 22 years, retiring in 1972. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert James Valdesere in 2005; and a son, Joseph Robert Valdesere in 1958. She is survived by her four children, Linda E. Steiner and her husband Charles, Peggy A. Tice and her husband George, all of Felton, Robin L. Greene and her husband Roger of Millsboro, and Terry L. Long and her husband Frank of Hartly; a grandson, Robert James Valdesere, who was raised by her and her husband; nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday, July 16, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main St., Felton, where friends may call after noon. Interment will be in St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
