MAGNOLIA - Leslie N. Newlin Jr., of Magnolia, died on Aug. 11, 2011. Les was born on Sept. 27, 1929, in Boothwyn, Pa., son of the late Leslie and Mary Elizabeth Newlin Sr. Les was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Lillian Marie Newlin; his daughters, Marion Wilson and Rosie Russykevizc, and Karen Thompson; his son, Reggie Newlin; and brother, Robert Newlin. He is survived by his children, Leslie Newlin III, Sherine Sharp, Sharlyn Sharp and her husband Tony Luzzo, Derek Kunitz and his wife Joanne Hall, Ernie Sharp, Ruth Drass, Billy Thompson, Mark Sharp and his wife Joanne, Ed Kunitz, Patricia Cathcart, Diane Delgado and her husband Jesse, Brenda Marcella, and Lillian Nixon "Little Bit"; grandchildren, Liz Wilson, Justin Sharp, Jessica Newlin, Patricia Newlin and 29 others; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Clausen, Connor Sharp, Chloe Sharp and 24 others; sister, Marion Linn; and brother, James Newlin. Remembrance services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, at Magnolia United Methodist Church, 39 N. Main Street, Magnolia. The family requests donations be made to Magnolia Methodist Church, in lieu of flowers.
