MILLSBORO - Leon L. Burton Sr., of Millsboro, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011, at the Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. Leon owned and operated a septic business with his son in the local area for many years. He was also a founding member and the first president of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Alice Burton; and a grandson, Brian. Leon is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret; a son, Leon, Jr., and his wife Bonnie; and a grandson, Bret; a brother, Fred; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be 2 p.m., today, April 21, at Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Interment will be in St. George's Episcopal Chapel Cemetery, near Angola. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to, Indian River Volunteer Fire Co., 32628 Oak Orchard Rd, Millsboro, DE 19966.
