MILLSBORO - Leon L. Burton Sr., of Millsboro, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011, at the Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. Leon owned and operated a septic business with his son in the local area for many years. He was also a founding member and the first president of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Alice Burton; and a grandson, Brian. Leon is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret; a son, Leon, Jr., and his wife Bonnie; and a grandson, Bret; a brother, Fred; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be 2 p.m., today, April 21, at Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Interment will be in St. George's Episcopal Chapel Cemetery, near Angola.
