Lee C. Daniels Jr.

CLAYTON - Lee C. Daniels, Jr. passed away at home on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017.
He was born on Oct. 23, 1929, in Townsend, the son of the late Lee C. Daniels, Sr. and Hilda M. Daniels.
He was a farmer who had a passion for racehorses. He enjoyed training and racing standardbred horses. Lee also enjoyed working his garden and going to Chincoteague with his wife.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Elinor; his son, Mark J. Daniels; his sister and brother-in-law, Hilda and William Cox; his sister, Nellie Hand; and his brother-in-law, Ernest Butler.
Lee is survived by his children, Terry Montgomery and her husband Rodger of Milford, Kenneth "Butch" Daniels and his wife Pat of Townsend, and Cheryl Daniels and her spouse Kathy of Mahopac, N.Y. (formerly of Clayton); seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; his sister, Helen Butler; and his brother and sister-in-law, Ralph "Sock" and Shirley Daniels; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be offered on Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Mamie Warren Center, located at 1775 Wheatleys Pond Rd, Smyrna, DE 19977. Memorial services will begin at 6 p.m.
Burial will be privately held at a later date.
