Palmer, 78 MILFORD - Lawrence Martin Palmer, 78, of Milford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation and Health Center, Millsboro. Larry was born in Lewes. The son of the late Calvin and Evelyn (Mary) Palmer. He worked as a forklift operator for 33 years at Kraft Foods in Dover before retiring in 1996. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, rooting for the Phillies, Eagles, 76's and Flyers. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Della (Layfield) Palmer. He is survived by two sons, Michael Palmer (Roxanne), of Laurel and Steven Palmer, of Virginia; one step-daughter, Jackie Wroten (Bill), of Dover; one brother, Ken Palmer (Marge), of Wilmington; his step-mother, Helena Fox; and step-sister, Sophie Pennington, both of Hartly; as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Bethel Methodist Cemetery, Savannah Road, Lewes. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Lower Shore Parkinsons Support Group, 3843 Devonshire Drive, Salisbury, MD 21804. Arr. by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
