FELTON - Lawrence "Larry" Leo May, 64, of Felton, formerly of Aldan, Delaware County, Pa., passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011, at his home with family in Felton after a lengthy illness. He was born on July 26, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pa., to the late Martin Leo and Mary Jane Gardner May. Larry graduated from Lansdowne High School, served his country in the US Navy, and was retired from the Dover Air Force Base after 29 years of employment. His hobbies included fishing, Penn State Football, and mowing his lawn. He was predeceased by his first wife, Linda Brown Farmer May of Philadelphia; his second wife, Patricia Thompson of Delaware; and his stepson, James May of Delaware. He is survived by his wife, Grace Rily May of Felton; daughter and her husband, Tina and Theodore May Dombal; granddaughters, Serina and Lyna; grandson, Leo, all of New Jersey; step-children, Sarah Hauser and her husband Scott and their daughter of North Carolina, Louis Lauer Jr. and his wife Gigi and their son of Texas, and Corie Cifelli and son and daughters of New Jersey; brothers, Martin and wife Marelizabeth of West Bradford Township, Chester County, Pa., and Michael and wife Theresa of York, Pa.; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends to pay respects will be Sunday, July 17, from noon to 5 p.m., at his residence, 126 Copperfield Lane, Felton. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Milford Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
