Lawrence H. Bishop

Lawrence H. Bishop, 82 FREDERICA - Lawrence H. Bishop, 82, of Frederica, died June 8, 2010, at the Newark Manor Nursing Home in Newark. Born in Harve De Grace, Md., he was the son of the late Chalmers and Verna Wilson Bishop. Mr. Bishop was a retired Master Sgt. with over 20 years of service in the US Air Force. Upon his retirement from active duty he then served with the US Civil Service at Dover A.F. Base retiring in 1985. Mr. Bishop was an avid fisherman and in his quieter moments could often be found engaged in woodworking. He will be missed by those whose lives he touched. He is survived by his daughter, Karen S. Bishop of Denton, Md.; two sons, Bruce Bishop of Land O Lakes, Fla., and Lawrence Bishop, Jr. of Tampa, Fla.; a stepson, Thomas Haas of Lebanon, Pa.; one sister, Shirley Gallinor of Tampa, Fla.; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Memorial and Disposition of his cremains will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations in his memory may be forwarded to the Alzheimer's Association 2306 Kirkwood Hwy. Wilm.
