Ziesemer, 53 DOVER - Laura Sue Hands Ziesemer of Dover, went home to be with the Lord, September 18, 2013, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 53. Laura was born, October 26, 1959, in Milford, Del., to the late, David & Jettie Mae Hands. She had worked for over 10 years for State Line Gas in Marydel. She enjoyed shopping for her grandkids, loved taking pictures with her favorite camera, and spending time with her children & grandchildren. Laura is survived by her husband of 24 years, Charles Ziesemer; five children, Paulie Chandler & his wife, Sherry, of Felton, Amber Chandler & her husband, James Eastburn, of Cambridge, Md., April Smith, of Ridgely, Md., Michael Chandler, of Greensboro, Md., and Charlee "NaNa" Ziesemer, of Dover. Ten grandchildren, Scott Brian David Whewell, Paul Eugene Chandler, Briana Marie Whewell, Haley Nicole Chandler, Cameron Marie Benfer, Ryleigh Ann Whewell, Kendall Renee Benfer, Jonathan Perryce Warner, Jr., Jazmyn Kohl Chandler, and Trey LePore. Her best friend of 40 years, Bonnie Hughes, of Harrington; and her faithful companions, Bubba & "granddog" Lexi. Along with a countless number of close friends she has made over the years. Services will be 6 p.m., Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave. Wyoming; where family and friends may view from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205 , New Castle, DE 19720.
