MAGNOLIA - Larry W. Rainey, 66, of Magnolia, passed away of Pancreatic Cancer on March 15, at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital in Dover. He was born in Elwood, Ind., to parents, James and Louada Rainey. He was a retired Master Welder, a craft he taught. He was a member of the National Beekeepers Association, an avid collector, computer technician and a wood working enthusiast. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Penny Rainey; his daughter, Melissa Rainey; a sister, Billie Jean Borden; and a grandson, Dennis Troise. He is survived by three daughters, Penelope Crothers and her fiancée Lee of Dover, Lauren Block and her husband Mike of Mississippi, Susan Wildrick and her husband John of Camden; a sister, Erma Rainey; 11 grandchildren, Chase Block, Katie May, Kim Crothers, Susan Gettler, Elissa Troise, Ryan Walton, Alex Bergold, Erica Wildrick, Heather Bergold, Tyler Wildrick, and Nicholas Voelcker; and three great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Gettler, E.J. Troise-Greco, and Maddox Harding. A Celebration of his life will be 3 p.m., Sunday, March 27, at his daughter, Susans Home, 940 Blair Court, Camden. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
