Larry Lawson, 73 FELTON - Larry Lawson, of Felton, died Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, surrounded by his loving family. He was 73. Mr. Lawson was born Sept. 10, 1936, in Orange, Mass., to the late Ivar Lawson and Mabel Pederson Lawson. He served in the United States Navy for 4 years. After the service he went to work for General Foods in Massachusetts in Tapioca Production and moved to Dover in 1964 with General Foods retiring in 1992 after 37 years of service. Mr. Lawson enjoyed golfing, gardening and was a big fan of all Boston sports, but his real enjoyment was spending time with his family. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Winston, Wallace, Ivar, and William Lawson; and sisters, Helen LaCoste, and Avis Hebert. Mr. Lawson is survived by his wife of 51 years, Doris S. Kelley Lawson "Sharron" of Felton; three sons, Mark Lawson of Dover, Steven Lawson and his wife Patti of Lusby, Md., and Derek Lawson and his wife Carla of Dover; two, daughters, Sonya Evans and her husband Steve of Dover, and Jennifer Lawson and her companion Art Carter of Hartly; sisters, Doris McIntosh, Shirley Castle, Marjorie Cook, and Betty Chenausky; grandchildren, Stephanie Evans, Kelli Evans, Rebecka Lawson, and Cameron Lawson; and step-granddaughter, Morgan Peake. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, April 9, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10), Dover. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening.
